How the average
is worked out.

Every weigh-in counts

For each day you weighed in, we average every weigh-in from that day and the 6 days before it.

Gaps are fine

Missed days are simply left out. Four weigh-ins a week still give you a useful line.

Week to week

The change compares your latest average with the one from a week earlier, not today with yesterday.

Why it moves less

Water, carbs, salt, your cycle and weekend meals can swing the scale by 1–1.5 kg a day. Averaging smooths that out.

Questions,
answered.

Why does my weight change so much day to day?

Mostly water. Stored carbohydrate holds water, salty meals make you hold more, and food that hasn’t left yet weighs something too. None of that is fat.

How often should I weigh myself?

As often as you like, but under the same conditions: first thing in the morning, after the bathroom, in similar clothes. Two to four times a week is plenty for a trend.

How fast should the average go down?

For most people, 0.25–0.75 kg (0.5–1.5 lb) a week. If it hasn’t moved after 2–3 weeks, your estimates were probably off; adjust a little and give it time.

Is my data saved?

No. Everything stays in this browser tab and is gone when you close it. Forward keeps your history on your phone.
